  • CARE & WARRANTY INSTRUCTIONS

     First time use & Maintenance

*WARRANTY - 1 YEAR AGAINST ANY DEFECTS. ITEM MUST BE PURCHASED THROUGH WILKE’S BADASS PITS OR ONE OF OUR DEALERS. PAINT/RUST IS NOT COVERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY. QUESTIONS/CONCERNS, PLEASE CALL US.

*FIRST TIME USE - BUILD A SMALL FIRE AND LET BURN APPROXIMATLEY 4-5 HOURS, THIS WILL BAKE THE PAINT ONTO THE PIT.

*GRILL USE - Seasoning your Grill – apply vegetable oil, melted lard or shortening liberally on a cooled clean grill. APPLY HEAT TO GRILL TO BAKE IN THE OIL/SHORTENING. AFTER BAKING, THE GRILL IS READY FOR USE! Cleaning THE GRILL - with soap will strip the seasoning away! *REMOVE THE GRILL - (USE CAUTION) WHEN NOT IN USE. KEEPING THE GRILL OVER THE FIRE WILL BURN ALL OF THE SEASONING OFF AND THE GRILL WILL RUST. Reapply Seasoning when needed!

*CARE AND MAINTENANCE – CLEAN wood ash from the pit, ONCE COOLED (TYPICALLY THE NEXT DAY). Rain mixed with ashes is quite acidic and will shorten the life of your fire pits. The easiest way to clean your pit is with a dust pan and a hand broom.

*Carbon Steel Fire Pits WILL RUST. Touch up any scratches and the bottom of the pit as needed with a High Heat BBQ paint (Satin Finish). THIS IS A STEEL FIRE PIT! THIS PIT WILL RUST IF ANY RAW STEEL IS EXPOSED.

*KEEP FIRE PIT COVERED! – AFTER PIT HAS COOLED, COVER YOUR FIRE PIT. THIS WILL HELP EXTEND THE LIFE OF YOUR PIT!

*BRING YOUR PIT IN AND LET US CLEAN & REPAINT IT!
